Ryanair fly to Carcassonne daily and its not that expensive in fact its cheaper (quicker too) than a train from London to Manchester. What does it cost? We pay anything from £40 per person to £125 approx for peak travel times (school holidays). How long does it take? We leave Stansted at 10:00 UK time and arrive at the house at 1:00 Central European time (3 hours). Just in time for lunch! Visit ryan.com for flights. I suggest that you signup for the email alerts offers if you hope to visit. WARNING WARNING Don't use Ryanairs European callcentre as it charges you a small fortune (actually its fraud) to use it and I have never ever got to speak to a so called customer services representative. Call the airport numbers its easier and you will speak to someone.
AIR FRANCE If you are flying from other London or UK airports or flying direct from work in Europe try Air France, superb service, they answer their phones, have a frequent flyer program and generally an altogether much better organisation. The prices are extremely competitive as well. The currently don't fly into Carcassonne airport, but I think this will change.
